2022 Jaime Whelan Foundation Scholarship Fundraiser

Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate our 15th Anniversary Annual Event. Our 15th Annual Fundraiser was another huge success.


13th annual Fundraising Event

Dear Friends and Family,
First and foremost, we hope you are all well during this very challenging time. Due to the ongoing uncertainty around Covid-19, we have decided to forgo an in-person JWF fundraiser this year. Each year, we rely so heavily on the hundreds of people in attendance as well as the generosity of small businesses in and around the community for our fundraising. Given both the health concerns associated with large gatherings and the current financial uncertainty facing many businesses and individuals due to Covid-19, we feel that it would be irresponsible to gather in-person in a large indoor setting and to ask for a significant level of commitment from our annual donors during this time.



12th annual Fundraising Event

Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate our 12th Anniversary Annual Event.
Our 11th Annual Fundraiser was another huge success. On Saturday, September 21st, 2019, we celebrated the life of Jaime Whelan in grand fashion. The crowd showed up at the Junction en masse once again, making the 12th Annual fundraiser one of the most successful to-date.

Thanks to the success of the fundraiser, the Jaime Whelan Foundation was able to award $26,000 in scholarships in Jaime’s memory to four very impressive young ladies graduating Long Beach Catholic Regional School and heading to Sacred Heart Academy. We cannot overstate our gratitude to all of those who helped make the 11th Annual Jaime Whelan Foundation such an overwhelming success. We are proud of the foundation’s ability to impact the lives of these young ladies and keep Jaime’s memory alive and we appreciate your support in making this possible.



11th annual Fundraising Event

Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate our 11th Anniversary Annual Event.
Our 11th Annual Fundraiser was another huge success. On Saturday, September 22nd, 2018, we celebrated the life of Jaime Whelan in grand fashion. The crowd showed up at the Junction en masse once again, making the 11th Annual fundraiser one of the most successful to-date. Due to the generosity of so many donors, we had well over 300 raffle items between all of the raffle, silent, and live auction packages. Packages included a flight to and hotel in St. Maarten, special field access tickets to Jets, Mets and Yankees games, hotel rooms in Atlantis and the Maui Four Season, a few beach cruisers, gift certificates to local restaurants, and a number of tickets to Broadway shows. As importantly, the fundraiser gave everyone a chance to take a break from their hectic lives and spend some time with good family and friends while celebrating and sharing memories of Jaime Whelan.

Thanks to the success of the fundraiser, the Jaime Whelan Foundation was able to award $26,000 in scholarships in Jaime’s memory to four very impressive young ladies graduating Long Beach Catholic Regional School and heading to Sacred Heart Academy. We cannot overstate our gratitude to all of those who helped make the 11th Annual Jaime Whelan Foundation such an overwhelming success. We are proud of the foundation’s ability to impact the lives of these young ladies and keep Jaime’s memory alive and we appreciate your support in making this possible.



10th annual Fundraising Event

Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate our 10th Anniversary Annual Event.
On Saturday, September 30th, 2017, we held the Tenth Annual Jaime Whelan Foundation Fundraiser, once again honoring Jaime’s memory and raising money to provide scholarships and other financial support for those in need. We held this year’s event at a new venue, The Junction in Long Beach, and we had a huge crowd of people coming out to support the Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of all of our friends and family, we had another great assortment of raffle prizes, silent auction items, and live auction items to date. As a result it was also our most successful fundraiser yet, raising more money than ever before.

Due to the success of the fundraiser, the Jaime Whelan Foundation will once again be able to award $25,000 in scholarships. Each year, we are reminded of the legacy Jaime left behind when we award these scholarships at the Long Beach Catholic Regional School Awards Night. Without fail, the scholarship recipients remind us how much these scholarships mean to them and their families and they promise to “make Jaime proud” as they embark on their high school journey at Jaime’s alma mater, Sacred Heart Academy.

We would like to thank you for your continued support of our family and most importantly of the Foundation and we look forward to catching up with friends and family to celebrate Jaime’s impact on all of us at the ELEVENTH ANNUAL Jaime Whelan Foundation Fundraiser in September 2018.

We held this year’s event at a new venue, Minnesota’s in Long Beach, and we had a huge crowd of people coming out to support the Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of all of our friends and family, we had another great assortment of raffle prizes, silent auction items, and live auction items to date. As a result it was also our most successful fundraiser yet, raising more money than ever before.

Due to the success of the fundraiser, the Jaime Whelan Foundation will once again be able to award $25,000 in scholarships. Each year, we are reminded of the legacy Jaime left behind when we award these scholarships at the Long Beach Catholic Regional School Awards Night. On Saturday, September 19th, 2015, we held the Eighth Annual Jaime Whelan Foundation Fundraiser, once again honoring Jaime’s memory and raising money to provide scholarships and other financial support for those in need. We held this year’s event at a new venue, Minnesota’s in Long Beach, and we had a huge crowd with over 300 people coming out to support the Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of all of our friends and family, we had our best assortment of raffle prizes, silent auction items, and live auction items to date. As a result it was also our most successful fundraiser yet, raising more money than ever before.

Due to the success of the fundraiser, the Jaime Whelan Foundation will once again be able to award over $20,000 in scholarships this June. Our grand total of scholarships awarded since the inception of this Foundation is $175,500. We have also raised and distributed an additional $130,000 to local families in need. Each year, we are reminded of the legacy Jaime left behind when we award these scholarships at the Long Beach Catholic Regional School Awards Night. Without fail, the scholarship recipients remind us how much these scholarships mean to them and their families and they promise to “make Jaime proud” as they embark on their high school journey at Jaime’s alma mater, Sacred Heart Academy.

Thank you to everyone that came out to our 7th Annual Event.
On Saturday, September 20, 2014, we held the Seventh Annual Jaime Whelan Foundation Fundraiser, once again honoring Jaime’s memory and raising money to provide scholarships and other financial support for those in need. We had another beautiful day so we took to the Beach House’s outdoor space. The result was the most attended event to-date with over 325 people coming out to support the Foundation. It was also our most successful, raising more money than ever before.

Thanks to the generosity of all of our friends and family, we once again had an incredible assortment of raffle prizes and live auction items. Due to the success of the fundraiser, the Jaime Whelan Foundation was able to award $23,000 in scholarships this past June. Those scholarships brought our grand total of scholarships awarded since the inception of this Foundation to $175,500. We have also committed an additional $130,000 to local families in need. Each year, we are reminded of the legacy Jaime left behind when we award these scholarships at the Long Beach Catholic Regional School Awards Night. Without fail, the scholarship recipients remind us how much these scholarships mean to them and their families and they promise to “make Jaime proud” as they embark on their high school journey at Jaime’s alma mater, Sacred Heart Academy.

Thank you to everyone that came out to our 4th Annual Event.

On Saturday, September 24, 2011, we held the Fourth Annual Jaime Whelan Foundation Fundraiser, once again honoring Jaime’s memory and raising money to provide scholarships and other financial support for those in need. We had another beautiful day so we took to the Beach House’s outdoor space for the second year in a row. The result was the most attended event to-date with over 300 people coming out to support the Foundation. It was also our most successful, raising more money than ever before.

Thanks to the generosity of all of our friends and family, we once again had an incredible assortment of raffle prizes and live auction items. Items included the staples from previous events like suite tickets for Yanks/Sox at Fenway, tickets to Broadway shows and Jingle Ball, a 3 night stay at the Maui Four Seasons, and one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia, as well as new prizes like a five night stay in Punta Cana with free airfare, a cruise around the Long Island Sound, and a 10-week old Golden Doodle.

Due to the success of the fundraiser, the Jaime Whelan Foundation was able to award $26,000 in scholarships this past June. Those scholarships brought our grand total of scholarships awarded since the inception of this Foundation to $102,000. We have also committed an additional $4,000 to a local family in need. Each year, we are reminded of the legacy Jaime left behind when we award these scholarships at the Long Beach Catholic Regional School Awards Night. Without fail, the scholarship recipients remind us how much these scholarships mean to them and their families and they promise to “make Jaime proud” as they embark on their high school journey at Jaime’s alma mater, Sacred Heart Academy.
